Best things to do in Noordhoek Cape Town
The village of Noordhoek is sandwiched between the Atlantic sea, mountains and a prized wetlands area. Noordhoek is reached by driving some of the most spectacular roads in the Western Cape – via Chapman’s Peak Drive or over the Ou Kaapse Weg (with the Silvemine section of Table Mountain National Park at it’s centre). Explore Noordhoek with a Cape Peninsula Tour, Cape Point tour and Boulder Beach Tour.
Noordhoek is a laid-back coastal suburb overlooking the long, sandy Noordhoek Beach.
The Noordhoek valley is situated at the foot of Chapman’s Peak and surrounded by Table Mountain National Park on the west coast of the Cape Peninsula and is approximately 35 kilometres (22 miles) to the south of Cape Town. The name "Noordhoek" was taken from Dutch and literally means "north corner". It was given this name in 1743 as being the northern corner of the Slangkop farm.

Explore Cape Peninsula
Our Cape Peninsula and Cape Point tour gives you the option of a wine tour and wine tastings at the rustic-chic Cape Point Vineyards set majestically against the slopes of the famous Chapman's Peak mountain range and overlooks the nearby Atlantic Ocean.
Or visit the Noordhoek Farm Village which offers visitors an array of craft shops, artisan bakeries, coffee roasters, gourmet ice-cream shops, and juice bars.
Chapman's Peak Drive, which snakes northward along the rugged coastline to Hout Bay, offers striking mountain and ocean views
Noordhoek is found below the Southern Slopes of Chapman’s Peak Drive. Noordhoek is Cape Town’s rural treasure with a farm atmosphere and famed for its long white sandy beach, so it is not surprising that Noordhoek is often called Cape Country at the Beach. It is common to see horses, pigs, cows, hens, ducks, geese and rabbits roaming around the gardens, leafy lanes and public spaces of Noordhoek. The lifestyle of the residents can be described as tranquil, relaxed and unhurried.
